A Mighty Revelation, Poem

Here’s a poetic rendering inspired by the themes and imagery of Revelation, titled “A Mighty Revelation”:

Upon the isle where waves collide,
A vision came, the heavens wide.
A voice like thunder, clear and strong,
A mighty call to right the wrong.

Behold, the One who walks in light,
His eyes like fire, piercing night.
The Alpha, Omega, the First and Last,
Who reigns eternal, present and past.

Seven stars held in His hand,
Seven flames before Him stand.
To the churches, His letters call,
Faithful hearts or those who fall.

The throne of heaven, high and vast,
Where worship echoes, unsurpassed.
Elders bow and angels sing,
“Holy, holy, to the King!”

The scroll is sealed, none can break,
Till Lamb steps forth for heaven’s sake.
The Lion roars, the Lamb is slain,
Through Him, redemption’s hope remains.

The seals are broken, judgments flow,
Trumpets sound, and woes do grow.
The stars fall dark, the earth does quake,
The sinful world begins to shake.

A dragon waits, with fury grim,
To war with saints who cling to Him.
But Michael stands, the battle won,
Evil falls before the Son.

The harlot falls, her kingdom dies,
Babylon’s smoke ascends the skies.
Yet joyful songs of triumph ring,
“Rejoice! Behold, the coming King!”

Upon the clouds, in robes of white,
The King of kings comes in His might.
A sword proceeds from His command,
The nations tremble at His hand.

Satan bound for a thousand years,
No more sorrow, pain, or tears.
The books are opened, the dead arise,
Justice reigns beneath the skies.

A city descends, all gleaming gold,
The New Jerusalem, foretold.
Its gates of pearl, its streets so bright,
Forever basking in God’s light.

No more death, no shadow, no night,
The Lamb is the lamp, shining bright.
He wipes each tear, He makes all new,
A mighty promise, faithful, true.

Come, Lord Jesus, hear our plea,
For Your kingdom, we long to see.
A mighty revelation given to man,
Eternal hope in God’s great plan.
